A competition in Islamic Studies

The Primary school Bristovi from Bugojno organized a competition in Islamic Studies which was held on 6 April 2016 at the Cultural Centre of the Princess Jawhara in Bugojno. Pupils from all primary schools from the city of Bugojno and the surrounding areas took part in the competition. The chief Imam of the Bugojno Majlis (MIZ), mr. Vehid ef. Arnaut, also attended the event and addressed the gathering. Winners were awarded certificates and given reasonable gifts.

Hajj pilgrimage - Impressions and experiences

On Wednesday, October 7, 2015 (23-Dhu al-Hijjah-1436 Hijri) Regional office of the Muslim world league and the Cultural Center of Princess Al-Jawhara organized a group meeting for Educational courses participants. The meeting was held on the topic of ‘Hajj pilgrimage - Impressions and Experiences’.

Jumada I 23, 1437, March 03, 2016, Secretary General of the Muslim World League and the President of the Islamic Universities League Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki stressed the importance of his current visit to Egypt in supporting joint Islamic action and discussing many issues and contemporary problems including ways of dealing with terrorism and extremism.

This came in remarks he made on Wednesday on the sidelines of the International Conference on "The Role of Media to Combat Terrorism", organized by the Islamic Universities League in collaboration with the University of Assiut. 

Dr. Al-Turki explained that the aim of his current visit to Egypt is to chair the meeting of the Executive Council of the Islamic Universities League, noting that his Egypt's visit comes at the start of an African tour that also includes Nigeria, Mauritania and Senegal.

Al-Turki highlighted the role played by the Muslim World League to unite Muslim scholars and clarify their responsibility to unite the Islamic nation and warn Muslims of the risks and dangers they face, as well as showing the true face of Islam and working to fortify Muslim communities against the threat of terrorism, violence and sectarianism.

It is known that the Secretary General of the League of the Muslim world will visit Egypt, Nigeria, Mauritania and Senegal. The reason for this ‘ziyaret’ is the participation at several conferences and symposiums, and then meetings with responsible officials, scholars, missionaries and the presidents of Islamic centers and associations. These meetings support the joint Islamic action and wish to clarify a number of issues and problems, especially the problem of terrorism and extremism.

The importance of the conference is dealing with extremism from Islamic point of view, facing modern challenges in Islamic word, and call for peace, security and stability.

Jumada II 16, 1437, Mar 25, 2016, Rabita organized the International Scientific Conference on the "Role of Sunni Scholars in Fighting Terrorism and Extremism", in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. In the capital of Senegal, Dakar, Rabita organized an Anti-Terrorism Conference (Terrorism and its consequences on progress and stability).Joint responsibility to fight terrorism, Challenges of Modern Society, Strategy for fighting terrorism and the role of media to combat terrorism were Conference main topics.
